Samuel made his sons judges over the South of Israel. But they were greedily, unjust, thieves and corrupt.

How can a righteous and faithful man of God have sons with such bad habits? Though their father was a good testimony for them, they did not have his character or even try to do what was just and right.

On the contrary, they did what they thought was best. Parents who have children in such a state should not give up on them but should persevere in faith and trust in the Holy Spirit, since He is the one that gives birth to the desire to know and serve God.
