The Spirit anointed Me. In the past, the high priest, the king, and the prophets received an anointing on their head to be able to perform the mission that was granted to them.

This also happened with the Messiah, Who was fully anointed by God (Matt. 3.16; Heb. 1.9). Therefore, the Lord Jesus preached with authority and power the Good Tidings of the Gospel (Luke 4.18-19).

From then on, the “poor” found relief from physical and spiritual pain and the “brokenhearted” who lived in distress and in anguish were healed. In addition , the Lord opened the prison for those who were handcuffed to sin and its consequences. Slavery violates the basic principle of life established by God.

From the moment man was created, he was given the freedom to think, act, and speak.

However, when the devil influenced him to sin, he lost the opportunity to live free from the works of evil. There are many who are captive to addictions, malicious feelings, diseases, pornography, or abusive relationships. To hear the Word and to believe in it , is to stop being a slave of oneself and of evil forces (John 8.32-36)
