There is therefore now no condemnation. Paul shows the Christians of Rome that before the Lord Jesus sacrificed His life on the cross, receiving the punishment of sin in our place, there was no hope of Salvation for anyone, for all were subject to condemnation imposed by the Law.

But when the sinner turns to God with a true repentant heart, he receives the absolution of all his faults. Therefore, there will be no judgment for those whose debts were paid on the cross, and if there is no judgement there will be no condemnation either.

Only those who are living according to the will of the Holy Spirit are free from condemnation, for they are in Jesus Christ.
