Just as God appeared to Abraham, He also appeared to Isaac to give him direction. It was a difficult time because there was a famine in Canaan. The Almighty reiterated the promises He had made in the Covenant with Abraham and guaranteed their fulfillment to Isaac, saying, “I will be with you and bless you.” the Most High made a Covenant with Isaac, confirming the oath He had make to Abraham.

The Passsover was one of the Jewish celebrations. It was in rmembrance of the angel passing through the land of Egypt to strike all the firstborn. However, the children of Israel were spared, because they had the markof the blood of the lamb of the doorposts. (Exod. 12.7-13).

In the same way, the Lord Jesus is the Lamb God who was sacrificed for us. His Blood cleanses us from our sins and delivers us from eternal death (John 1.29).

Before dying, Abraham wanted to be certain that all that the Most High had promised him through the Covenant would continue on to Isaac. So, he left all he had to him, including the most important thing: his blessing. Isaac inherited his father’s Godly authority.

God would be with him as He had been with Abraham. This meant that even if Isaac did not receive any physical goods for his father, the blessing that was passed on to him would enable him to create even greater riches.

This same blessing has been passed down, from generation to generation, and now it has reach us, through faith in the Lord Jesus.

This is God the Father’s inheritance for His children, giving them the freedom to accomplish their dreams here on earth, within His will (Gal. 3.29).
