Philippians 1: Thankfulness and Prayer
I thank my God. When we thank God for something or someone, we show how grateful we are for what he has given us.
That was what Paul did in relation to Philippians, for their sincerity in opening their hearts to receive the gospel could be seen in their attitudes.
In addition to contributing with their offerings for the maintenance of the evangelistic work, they assisted Paul and alleviated his penury when he was imprisoned on charges of disturbing the peace.
We can all contribute to the growth of the Work of God through his words of faith, our voluntary offerings on the Altar and our first fruits.
This makes it possible for gospel to reach the most distance places of the earth. In this way people can order truth and have access to salvation.
