Do not destroy him. David new that Saul would have to give account to God for his evil deeds, so he did not harm him or allow any of his soldiers to do so.

When we suffer injustice, persecution or slender, we should never think of revenge or allow ourselves to become bitter.

On the contrary, we must believe that at the right time God will judge our cause and act on our behalf. It is up to him alone to grant us justice.
