Bethlehem is not counted as one of the main cities of Judah. But that was the birthplace of the Messiah, the Lord Jesus (Matt. 2.5-6).

Bethlehem is also the city where Samuel anointed David as King.

Once again , we can perceive how God chooses what is most rejected and insignificant to fulfill His great purposes.
