Matthew 5: The Beatitudes

Blessed are the poor in spirit. There is a discussion about the type of poverty that the Lord Jesus referred to – whether it is material or spiritual. But if we look closely at the expression “in spirit,” we will understand the real meaning of what He said. By multiplying the loaves and the fish to feed those thousands of people, the Lord showed His power and His desire to meet the needs of those who believe in His Word.
