Matthew 26: The Plot to Kill Jesus
The Passsover was one of the Jewish celebrations. It was in rmembrance of the angel passing through the land of Egypt to strike all the firstborn. However, the children of Israel were spared, because they had the markof the blood of the lamb of the doorposts. (Exod. 12.7-13).
In the same way, the Lord Jesus is the Lamb God who was sacrificed for us. His Blood cleanses us from our sins and delivers us from eternal death (John 1.29).
