Malachi 2: Corrupt Priests

Published

on

The priests, who had the privilege of serving God(Num. 18.1-20), considered the work they did to be a burden. Their main duty was to zeal for the Name of the Most High, that is, to make the Name of the Lord to be considered the most important and worthy of respect and appreciation over all others. on

The clothes and the branches were a kind of welcome offering to the Messiah. This form of greeting was common when kings returned home, in triumph, from their battles. Those who had a better financial situation took off their cloaks and spread them along the way, while the poor adorned the ground with branches from trees. As the King entered the city, everyone offered their best to honor him.
