A wedding in Cana. The first chapter of the Gospel of John shows the Messianic and Divine identity of the Lord Jesus. From that moment on, He is presented as a Man ready to fulfill the purpose of the Most High. To begin His mission publicly, the Lord accepted the invitation to go to a wedding feast, and there He performed the first miracle described by the evangelist

In doing so, He values marriage and the ceremony itself, proving that the union is honorable in the eyes of God. However, in order for marriage to be a source of joy and help to a couple, God’s presence is fundamental.

That is because vows of love and faithfulness are of no use if the Lord is not present between the couple.
