Genesis 38: Judah and Tamar

Tamar was married to Er, the firstborn of Judah. He died, leaving her without children. This caused her great sadness because here desire, like all women of the time, was to have children.

But there was still hope that Judah would give his second son to her as her husband so that she would be taken care of and could bear children.

The people ignored the extraordinary way in which they were set free, and the promise of becoming a great nation, and they began complaining .

When faced with difficulty, they showed that the disbelief that dominated their minds was worse than their spirit of slavery, Moving on is the best choice we can make, even amid great struggles and crisis.

After all, which is the better condition: being a servant in the Kingdom of God or a slave to Pharaoh, who symbolizes the devil? Turing back is never worth it.

Like 19: Jesus Comes to Zacchaeus House

Zacchaeus led a group of tax collectors for Rome. The work was considered infamous by the Jews. Although his name meant “pure” or “fair,” Zacchaeus’ behavior did not fit with it, as the wealth of the collectors usually coma from extra collection of taxes or extortion.

Zacchaeus heard about the Lord Jesus and wanted to draw his own conclusions about Him.

His desire made him overcome not only the difficulties caused by his short stature but also the crowd that surrounded the Savior.

Zacchaeus recognized his unworthiness and sins and showed his humility as he quickly climbed into a tree to see the Lord. His attitude led him and his family to Salvation (v.9).
