The God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac. What glorious and profound words!

In pain and despair about the prospect of the meeting he was about to have with his brother who wanted him dead, Jacob asked God to save him.

He also reminded the Lord of His promise to guard and protect him, as He had done with his ancestors. Because of this, the Almighty answered him.

If Jacob was victorious because he claimed the promises made in a Covenant, how much more will we, who have superior Covenant, sealed in the Blood of the Lord Jesus!
