The serpent was more cunning. Satan detected an excellent opportunity to corrupt and destroy all that God had made. He approached the woman with cunning and malice and spoke through a serpent.

Eve should not have entered into conversation with the tempter or paid him any attention.

Though times have changed, his methods remain the same. The devil continues to lie and deceive because that is who he is. Sadly, many have been seduced by him, especially those who are filled with emotion and who lack rational faith.
