After the death of Sarah, Abraham wanted to find a wife for Isaac. His concern was the she should not be a woman from the land of Canaan, but from their ancestors.

Abraham perfectly understood the Almighty’s plans regarding his descendants and so he could not allow interbreeding with pagan peoples.

This means that, after giving our life to the Lord Jesus, the most important step to be taken is marriage, because God’s goal is to make our Salvation bulletproof. But for this to occur, it has to be done between people with the same faith.
