Exodus 9: The Fifth Plague; Livestock Diseased
The fifth plague was an attack on the economy and religion of Egypt. The Egyptians worshiped Amon as the god of livestock., and they considered certain animals sacred and prohibited their slaughter.
This pestilence laid waste to their flocks and herds, but no one animal belonging to the Israelites died.
God makes a distinction between those who serve Him and those who do not
