This means that a person does not have to make a lot of mistakes to become unhappy or destroy himself; one bad choice is enough to waste yeas of good actions.

It seems contradictory for someone full of wisdom to be unable to discern right from wrong, but that is exactly what happens in many people’s spiritual lives.
