Acts 6: Seven Chosen to Serve
The Christian community was growing and so were the problems among its members. There were complaints concerning some neglected widows, so the apostles wisely delegated specific roles to some of the disciples to help with the administrative tasks.
As leaders, they felt the need to delegate tasks to solve the problem so that they could be fully committed to praying and preaching the Word (v.4).
In the Work of God, there is a great need for faithful and fearful believers who are willing to hold different important roles. Those performing “administrative” duties provide support by preventing the evangelistic work from interruption damages.
