Cornelius was kind and fearful. Besides being supportive of the poor, he continually prayed to God. We know that kindness, fear, goodness, and spiritual communion are characteristics of true Christians who desire to please the Most High.

Kindness makes them have compassion for their neighbor and desire to help them: fear prompys them to turn away from every from of sin, and goodnees helps themn look aat everyone positively.

They have joy in being in the presence of God. The convert’s pleasure is to live according to the Divine will, practicing His Teachings and persevering in the faith.
