Mark 4: The Parable of the Sower
The Parable of the Sower. The sowing process is arduous, that is why every sower hopes to acheive the fruitful result of his work. In this example, the seed is the Word of God, and the Sower is the Lord Jesus.
The character of the Sower and the quality of the seed are not in question, but the various soils that determine its fertility.
Each soil represents a different kind of heart; therefore, everyone is included in this parable. The seed only germinates when it falls on good soil, that is, if the receiving heart is humble and sensitive to it. Although they are all different from one another, each soil has the same opportunity of receiving the living seed that produces Salvation. However, this will only happen when the person surrenders and is sincere to acknowledge their sins and change their ways
