Nehemiah 7: The Captives Who Returned to Jerusalem
How to choose leaders. The end of the work meant the beginning of a new era. When Nehemiah chose Hanani and Hananiah to be leaders n Jerusalem, he taught what a leader should be faithful and God-fearing. These men were chosen for political service, but aside from their professional skills, they needed spiritual attributes as well.
Those virtues cannot be disregarded or underestimated in any type of leadership, whether spiritual, political, or professional.
Without them, how could a leader be of any benefit to others? If the standards of Nehemiah were followed today, we would have a more just society with less scandals or corruption.
