They do not look to the Holy One of Israel. In the same way, many people, being eager to solve their problems, Place all their confidence in financial institutions or in whoever promises to give them a solution.

Some even invest everything they own in risky businesses based on skeptical advice, but they are let down in the end.

Why is this? Because, in search of relief, they make decisions looking in all sorts of directions, except to the Lord. That is, they fail to look to the One who can definitively solve their problems, only to rely on help that does not come from God but is limited and fleeting. Here lies the difference between those who are of the spirit and those who are of the flesh. While those who are spiritual believe in God’s provision and act by faith according to His Word, those who are of the flesh ignore His Voice and keep on committing wrongful acts.
