(2 Kings:20.1-3) Hezekiah’s illness. Day’s after having victory over the Assyrian Army, the Prophet Isaiah informs the King of Judah that he would die. He reacted by faith to this news, because he sought in God His favor.

” A prayer of faith is the bridge which creates a connection between our spirit and the Spirit of God. “

It is by this which our words are led ti the gracious ears of the Lord. His ears are always
ready to hear sincere outcries.

Though He fought against sin , the Savior made Himself accessible to sinners in order to give them an opportunity to repent and be save. He did this to fulfill the will of the Most High, Who had sent Him to save the lost.

In this way those who think they are righteous in the sight of God become enemies of Lord Jesus. On the other hand, broken and contrite sinners will find forgiveness in the Lord and enjoy His eternal friendship.

Luke 14: A Man with Dropsy Healed on the Sabbath

Dropsy was an incurable disease, charactirzed by swelling in the body due to excessive fluid retention, in the house where the Lord Jesus was, other thatn the Pharisess, there was a man with dropsy.

The difference between them was that wile the man with dropsy was swollen physically, the Pharisees were spiritually inflated by pride(v.7). Seeing that everyone was sick in some way, the Lord Jesus decided to cure the body of the man with dropsy first.

He then taught others that through humility they could restore their own souls. Whenever a person delights in praises and hone, he accumulates pride and presumption within himself. Therefore, he loses what is vital for the salvation of his soul: a humble heart.
