They thought to do me harm. Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem concocted a scheme to take Nehemiah’s life. They invited hem to settle in the distant and hostile land of Ono, to the north of Jerusalem, as a strategy to divert him from his purpose. Yet discernment, focus and desire to finish the work protected him from his adversaries.

Not even for one day can we ignore the fact that our enemies – the devil and the demons – prowl around us.

Whoever is no vigilant, ends up falling into his traps. The desires of our flesh should be seen as enemies that is spiritual. We can never get distracted, “take a vacation” from our faith or abandon the purposes that Most High has for our life.
