Repent. The theme of John the Baptist’s preaching was repentance. This is the main requirement to enter the Kingdom of God.

True repentance consists in abandoning sin and feeling sad for having committed it. It is different than remorse, which is nothing more than mere feeling of uneasiness that does not prevent a person from committing the same sin again.

Repentance is a conscious decision to change. It is the Holy Spirit Himself Who puts this desire inside of those who are sincere and accept His Word.
