Luke 16: The Parable of the Unjust Steward
The unjust steward . This servant defrauded his mater in the administration of his goods, and when he had to give an account of his service, he acted cunningly. Through his negotiations, he acquired an amount for his master and still won favors form those who were able to pay their debts.
The Lord Jesus did not praise the servant’s dishonest conduct, but his endeavor to make amends and prepare for the future. The Savior highlighted the prudence of the “sons of this world” to gain wealth and promote their own purposes, while the “sons of light,” who know the Truth, do not fight for their Salvation.
