I have given it into your hand. Jericho was a military fortress and virtually impossible to defeat. Yet the Most High had decreed victory for the children of Israel, even before they had fought.

What made this army all victorious and ready for battle, was their communion with God. Joshua and his soldiers were to view Jericho as a defeated enemy.

We should also look at the problems that arise in our lives the same way, as defeated enemies before the greatness of our God.
