The inheritance: The Most High, as the true Owner of the earth, gave Israel its inheritance. He asked for nothing other than for His people to respect Him and obey His Commandments. The contract that gave Israel legal possession of Canaan was established through a Covenant of faithfulness and absolute love for Him.

While the people honored the word that they had given to the Lord, the land they possessed remained extremely fruitful, despite many enemies. When their Covenant with God was broken, the land became subjected to the evils that come from disobedience.
