John 20: The Empty Tomb
The stone had been taken away. For many, a person’s story ends when they die, however, death is not the last stage of life. Take a look at the story of our Lord. When everything seemed to heave some to an end and He said, “It is finished” (19.30), an extraordinary beginning was reveled.
Not only for Him, Who would become King and High Priest, but also for humankind, which would have access to the Father. This shows why the resurrection is the greatest event of the Scriptures.
Without it, there would be no eternal life, and preaching about faith would be in vain (1 Cor. 15.17). When the Lord Jesus was resurrected, He opened the tomb from inside, initiating an era of transformation with humankind.
