Jeremiah 52: The Fall of Jerusalem Reviewed
Zedekiah was one of many kings who disobeyed the Eternal God. He reigned for eleven years in Jerusalem until he received the Divine Judgement. This king represents those who know they need to change; people who have been admonished and yet are not willing to repent.
The lack of humility to submit to the Most High caused problems not only for the king of Judah but also for the whole nation.
All the horrors described in these chapters could have been avoided, but each person determines their future through their choices. All that Jeremiah had predicted happened: famine, the destruction of the Temple, the defeat of Judah to Babylon, the capture of King Zedekiah and his death in captivity
