Jeremiah 11: The Broken Covenant
Cursed is the man who does not obey. The Hebrews who God Himself had freed from slavery in Egypt were given the terms to make a Covenant with Him. They gladly accepted them, and from that point on, no new Principle had been added to the Word that the Lord had first given them in the desert.
No one had the excuse of being uninformed.
Because the Holy Commandments were clear: blessings for those who carefully kept them, and curses for those who rebelled (Deut. 27.15-26; 28).
When a man makes a Covenant with God, he promises to be faithful. It means that all of his spiritual rights and privileges depend on his obedience. If he violates his Covenant with the Lord, he has to face the consequences of his own actions
