Jeremiah 1: The Prophet is Called
The responsibility of humanity. The Most High sent Jeremiah to people who were in the most miserable condition that a person could possibly be in: deviate from the faith. His ministry as a prophet lasted for forty years. it began in 627 BC, from the thirteenth year of the reign of Josiah, and ended in 586 BC when the Babylonian invasion and captivity occurred.
Although his prophecies warn Judah of imminent Judgment, they also awaken to repentance and proclaim promises of restoration.
Through the prophet, people were warned about apostasy, moral degradation, and idolatry, but they preferred to ignore the rebuke. God respects the free will of man and preserves his right to ignore Him. However, He makes it clear that each person is responsible for the consequences of their own choices. Those who are foolish do not believe in what the Most High says. For this reason, they bring pain and affliction to themselves.
