The famine continued, and because of this, Joseph’s brothers returned to Egypt to buy more food. They took many presents and once more bowed down before him. Till then, they did not know that the governor they were negotiating with was the brother they had despised. Joseph prepared a banquet for them.

What a great lesson! Imagine preparing a table full of the best food for people who had done you wrong. Joseph was able to do his because he had left the past behind.

He had learned to forget and, as a result, stay strong in and grown in faith.

He did exactly what the Scriptures say, “Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men” (Rom. 12.17).
