Lot’s wife did not obey the angel’s order and died when she looked back. Without a doubt, she was attached to what she had left behind, possessions, friendships and everything else they had to walk away from.

This reveals that it is impossible to find Salvation when our hearts are attached to the pleasures and sins of this world (Luke 9.62).

Many have given up along the way because they have not left the past behind. They are still attached to the memories of a failed relationship, the sadness of losing a loved on or material possessions. Because of this, their life is weak and stagnant.
