Genesis 11: The Tower of Babel
A city and a tower. God had commanded Humanity to spread throughout the world, but a rebellious man named Nimrod, the grandson of Ham, the son that Noah had cursed, urged people to build a city with a tower, disobeying God’s command.
His goal was to build a kingdom to rule over the people.
But the Lord intervened by confusing the language. People could no longer understand each other , and so they spread through the world. The will of the Eternal One prevailed, not the arrogance of men. Pride is the essence and embodiment of the devil himself.
