These are the Words. The first generation of Israel that was set free in Egypt, received the revelations of this book. However, they perished in the desert and so god made a way to repeat His Word to the second generation. That is why the Book of Deuteronomy is also known as the, “Second Law.” In his Book the Lord instructs the people to confront their enemies and take possession of the Promised Land.

He reinforces to the children of Israel, both the benefits of obedience and the severe consequences of disobedience. The book illustrates these teachings through Moses’ experience of disobeying and therefore being forbidden from entering Cannan. Through this, the Eternal One teaches us that a lack of fear and submission will bring severe consequences to our lives.
