Daniel distinguished himself among the others because he had an excellent spirit, in other words, he was an honorable, faithful, fearful, and righteous man.

He did not corrupt and deceive himself with the glow of fame or with the temporary power that was given to him.

On the contrary, he preserved his faith and faithfulness even in an environment dominated by sin. Those who are born of God all have this excellent spirit because they have His character. That is why, whenever they are, their behavior is the same because they do not corrupt themselves and they never deny their faith. (Matt. 10.332-33).
