Acts 22: Addressing the Jerusalem Mob
Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is Roman? Paul always acted wisely and tried to turn unfavorable situations into favorable ones, so that the preaching of the Gospel would not be hindered. for example, when the Romans wanted to seize and scourge him, he reminded them that he was a Roman citizen.
and when countering the Pharisees’ arguments, he reminded them that he was a Pharisee and a son of a Pharisee (23.6). And when he preached to the Jews or to the Gentiles, he acted according to their customs, respectively.
Paul shows us that we should not look at situations as unfavorable, but as challenges. We should regard them as opportunities to glorify the Name of the Lord Jesus. The Holy Spirit always should us a way out, but we must listen to His Voice and obey it.
