Acts 9: The Damascus Road: Saul Converted
Still breathing threats and murder. Saul’s wrath against Christians was so great that he was not satisfied with what he had done in Jerusalem (8.1-3).
So, he went to the high priest to ask for letters to authorize him to go to Damascus to bind and bring back to Jerusalem to servants of God who had fled.
Back in town, they would be thrown into prison as criminals. Now you see that wrath of evil against the faithful to the Lord Jesus is ancient, and even nowadays men, women, and children in many parts of the world have been threatened, tortured, imprisoned, and killed for not denying their faith in the Savior.
However many today despite living in countries where there is religious freedom, give up their faith for trivial reasons.
