Pentecost was one of the three most important annual festivals of the Jews. It was celebrated on the fiftieth day after Easter. Its purpose was to thank and bless God for receiving the law on Mount Sinai and for the harvest.

Even the first fruits were presented to Him during the feast. It was specifically at Pentecost that the Most High fulfilled His promise to pour out the Holy Spirit.
