Trust overcomes the waiting period. The month of Nisan represent a span of time between March and April on our calendar.

This means that from the time Nehemiah received the news of the destruction of Jerusalem, until the day he served the king, he prayed and fasted for Jerusalem for four months.

Nehemiah knew how to wait for God’s intervention. He would prepare the right moment for Nehemiah to act. Those who act based on emotions make hasty decisions and impede the move of the Holy Spirit.
