Isaiah 49: The Servant, the Light to the Gentiles
The Lord has called Me. God calls out to the people to pay attention to the characteristics of the Messiah. The Lord Jesus was “hidden in the quiver” of God like a polished shaft. This means that, since forever, He, the Holy and Pure One , was separated to fulfill the purpose of redeeming humanity *Luke 1.31; Col. 1.26). the Words of the Messiah are compared to a double-edged sword, capable of penetrating people’s minds, to confront them in their sins as well as to redeem them (Heb. 45.12).
The Word of God is a tool of Salvation, but it is also a tool to judge whoever does not obey it (john 12.48).
