The First and the Last. Only God is Sovereign and Self-Existent; He has his Own will and absolute power.

He alone can be called the “First” and the “Last,” for He is the Creator of everything and will remain Sovereign over His creation forever.

When Jesus, the Messiah, manifested Himself, He received the same title (Rev. 1.18; 22.13). Having the revelation of the sovereignty and greatness of God through faith exceeds all understanding. Knowing the One he sent, Lord Jesus, is the greatest glory of a person (Jer. 9.23-24).
