An angel from the heavenly throngs descends from Heaven with a chain to bind Satan, who becomes completely immobilized. The Bible does not point out any resistance from him, even though he is imprisoned by an ordinary angel. There are at least two reasons for this. Firstly, he has already been overcome!

Vanquished on the cross by our Lord Jesus Christ, which is the main reason (Col. 2.15). Secondly, the angel is carrying a chain . Satan knows that that chain has been reserved for him, representing the authority of God, which why does not resist capture. Everyone who believes in Jesus Christ receives this spiritual chain of Divine authority from the Holy Spirit in order to bind and fight against the kingdom of darkness and to rescue captives from hell.
