1 Samuel 20: Jonathan’s Loyalty to David
The Lord be with you as he has been with my father. Jonathan words to David showed that he recognized that eternal one was no longer with Saul.
Because he was a God fearing man, Jonathan did not follow in the footsteps of his father, who turned away from God’s ways and got lost in the world of hatred and injustice.
By allying himself with David, he showed that he had no ambition to be king because he understood it was a decision to be made by the Almighty God and not a decision made by man.
It is extremely important that we live in the center of God’s will, for he is the source of all knowledge and authority.
