1 Samuel 19: Saul Persecutes David
The heart of Saul was completely dominated by the most terrible feelings toward David. He was determined to kill him, and no one could free him from this thought, not even his son Jonathan, who hurried to warn his friend to escape.
At times, it is difficult to understand how someone can nourish so much hate for another person who never did him any harm. So headed David, but David loved him like a father and remained faithful to him.
This reveals the importance of always having a clean heart and of trusting in God, for He protects those who are sincere and keeps them safe from those who want to harm them.
