1 Corinthians 7: Principle of Marriage
Marriage or celibacy? In this chapter, Paul answers Several questions from the Christians in Corinth. When considering the difficulties of that time, including the growing persecution of Christians, he directed the unmarried people to remain in this condition (v.26).
Thus, they would have fewer worries and would be able to protect themselves more easily, since they would be alone. This does not mean that marriage lost its importance in the NT, nor that exhortation was only a way of explaining that it was easier to survive in those condition so f danger and affliction alone than next to another person.
However, he advised that anyone who would not be able to restrain himself should marry, for it was better to face the struggles and the risk of being arrested or dying that to become impure before God.
