I was sought by those who did not ask for Me. Most people in Israel remained lost in their sins after rejecting the Messiah, while the Gentiles, who did not know the Scriptures and the prophecies concerning the Messiah, believed in Him when they heard the Gospel (Rom. 10.20).

“I have stretched out My hands all day long” shows how pleased God is when people seek Him, to the point of sacrificing His Own Son on the cross so that whoever seeks Him in faith and sincerity may find Him.

This privilege was first granted to the Jews, but they were rebellious and ignored His Voice. Since then, the message of Salvation has been preached to all the nations around the world (John1.11-12). God did not react to His people’s ungratefulness by grieving or withdrawing; instead, He stretched out His Hands even more, giving an opportunity to those who had not heard of Him yet to know Him (Matt. 21.43).
