He went into the House of the Lord. After listening to the intimidation of Sennacherib, Hebzekiah tore his clothes to show his indignation at the blasphemy he heard against God.

In addition, he covered himself with sackcloth, showing this state of desolation before the threat of the enemies.

Hezekiah could have prayed from his place, buy he decide to give a public testimony of his faith by going to the Temple, for there was the great promise that all prayers made in that place would be readily attended to by the Lord (2 Chron. 7.15).

Surrendering to God with humility and repentance is the first step that must be taken by those who wish to overcome any difficulty in life
