Daniel 5: Belshazzar’s Feast
A great feast. A few years after King Nebuchadnezzar’s death, King Belshazzar, who succeeded him to the throne, defied God and provoked His anger. He used the golden vessels, which were taken from the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem, to drink win with his guests and to glorify his gods.
Immediately, a decree was declared from Heavens putting an end to his kingdom and his life.
There is no king or any man above the Lord, and there is no one who can touch His glory. The foulness and arrogance of the powerful ones make them think that they can do anything, including scorning the Almighty, and escape unpunished. However, one day they will realize how much they were deceived, and they will reap what they have sown (Hosea 8:7;6/7)/
